Continuing the Drexel Dream SINCE 1915

5116 Magazine Street • New Orleans, LA 70115 • 504.899.6061

Saint Katharine Drexel Preparatory School adheres to the policies of the

Archdiocesan Office of Education in its admissions procedures. No student will be

denied admissions based on race, color, religion, or national origin. Students are

accepted after careful weighing of the following factors:

1. Elementary, Middle, or Junior High School grades;

 including standardized test scores.

2. Conduct grades

3. Attendance Records

4. Student Interview

The following documents must be submitted in order to complete

the application process:

• SKDP Application  (See the Application link)

• Copy of student’s recent Report Card

• Copy of student’s Transcripts/Cumulative records

• Copy of student’s Birth Certificate

• Copy of student’s Social Security Card

• Copy of recent Standardized Test Scores

• N.O. Archdiocese Catholic High School Application

Incoming students must take the Placement Test, which is required by the Archdiocesan Office of Education, in January of each year. Students are then scheduled for a Student Interview with members of the Saint Katharine Drexel Preparatory School Faculty and Staff. The Student Interview is the first step in building a valued relationship between parent and school.

It also affords an opportunity for both parent and student to clarify school policies and to make sure that the school and student is a good match.

Acceptance procedures depend heavily upon Saint Katharine Drexel Preparatory School receiving the needed information listed above. Applicants lacking all or part of the necessary records may be denied full acceptance until the missing records are produced. The applicant’s records are especially important for course placement.
